Upper School Students Shine in Spring Art Events
Upper School underclassmen took center stage in BB&N’s spring theater production, a version of Jean-Claude van Itallie’s A Fable. In addition, the the Upper School Spring Concert showcased BB&N’s most seasoned musicians and gave Seniors one last moment to shine. CLICK HERE to read more.

Upper School Students Reach Out Through Community Service

BB&N Lower School Students Sweep State Scholastic Chess Championships
Nearly 200 youngsters comprising 46 teams from around the state competed in the day-long tournament at Natick High School on March 30. When the action had ended and all moves were exhausted, it was the two teams from BB&N who were left standing.

Upper School Tackles Seldom Performed Shakespeare Comedy
All’s Well That Ends Well is not one of Shakespeare’s better known plays, but judging from BB&N’s Upper School production of it last month, perhaps its merit as a theater staple should be revisited.

Humanitarians Paul Farmer and Ophelia Dahl Visit BB&N
BB&N students were treated to an inspiring visit before winter break when humanitarians Paul Farmer and Ophelia Dahl stopped in to talk at the Middle and Upper Schools.  Farmer and Dahl are the respective founder and director of Partners in Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing health care for poverty stricken countries.

LS Students make BB&N History in National Chess Tournament
Four 3rd graders recently made BB&N history as they took third place in the United States Chess Federation’s National Scholastic K-12/Collegiate Championship. Max Wiegand, Tristan Young, Will Nemirovsky and Issay Matsumoto (all ’17) traveled to Houston to compete in the national competition where they beat out many of the top chess programs in the country.

Distinguished Alumna Visits Lower and Upper School Campuses
Students, faculty, and staff were given a rare treat as acclaimed opera singer Marion Dry ’69 visited both the Lower and Upper School campuses to perform as well as provide helpful vocal tips to students.

The BB&N Notebook is published six times per year. Each issue highlights activities and events in the upcoming month. Subscriptions to the award-winning Vanguard, the Upper School student newspaper, are available to parents by calling (617) 800-2171.

Our website has an up-to-date and extensive events section, which features athletic competitions and art openings, general and current information about the School, and areas devoted to academic programs, the Parents’ Association, and Admission. Click here for the BB&N Events Section. The Knightline site, bbn-school.org, is a password-protected area for internal communication between faculty, students, and parents.
