The Upper School

The experience of attending the Upper School is so intimate, so personal, it is easy for a student to find his or her true self in the expansiveness of all it offers. A soccer player who loves chorus and chemistry. An actor devoted to football, French and physics. A painter equally passionate about tennis and Tennyson. But it takes more than just resources. It takes the mentoring and guidance of a close connection between the Upper School's young people and adults.

The Upper School is a close-knit community. Our school encourages a strong student-faculty relationship in and out of the classroom. While the school's business is first and foremost academic, we make time for communal activities such as assemblies, concerts, plays, speeches, games, and student government. This is an environment where students and faculty respect each other's hard work and dedication. And we work hard to model the school motto: "Honor, scholarship, kindness."
