Upper School Gallery Club Collaborates with Artists for Humanity
The Upper School galleries are always filled with remarkable student artwork; the latest installation is no exception. After a visit from Artist for Humanity’s co-founder Jason Talbot at last year’s community day, BB&N began a partnership with AFH. The latest chapter in the two institutions’ friendship created a combined exhibition featuring ceramics and photography from BB&N students and paintings from teen artists at the Boston non-profit.
Last Thursday, Gallery Club hosted a viewing and panel presentation with AFH artists Delila M., Ailin C., and Elysia D., and BB&N students Jaiden D. ’25, Parker W. ’25, and Isabel D. ’26. The panelists shared how their diverse journeys—the theme of the event—inspire their work and plans for the future.Â
Parker shared that her experience abroad last semester showcased the different paths students around the country can take and how that inspires all facets of their work. Similarly, Ailin noted that in her experiences, creating art makes her feel like a god and allows her to fully control the outcome of her work.
The gallery is up through January 25th, so stop by and see and bid on the exceptional work of these students!
Thank you to Nicole Stone, Maria Graciela Alcid, Gallery Club, and AFH for making this exhibition possible.
