Upper School Community Day Encourages Students to Dream Big

By Hannah Garcia February 13, 2025

Community Day was back at the BB&N Upper School for the third year in a row. The students perfectly exemplified this year’s theme of “dream big, grow together” from the start of the opening assembly, with student organizers leading their peers in a giant conga line. From there, the fun continued with twists on classic games, including an air mattress relay race, before the workshops.

After the opening assembly’s initial excitement, students attended peer-led workshops. With over 70 unique offerings, students experienced everything from friendship bracelets and tea to discussions about AI and immigration. Whether the session involved hands-on engagement or meaningful conversations with peers, every student experienced a connected BB&N.

Thanks to the hard work of the DEIG department–especially Upper School practitioner Maria Graciela Alcid–and the student organizers, the resurgence of community day on campus is going strong.
